Speaking as we were earlier today (on EDI-L ) of Mercator version 1.4 (yes
that is ONE POINT FOUR) .....

Does anyone remember or can find any documentation for ....
SOURCE CARD
Source = Database
MDQFile = (name)
Query= (query name)

Note there is no "database name" here.. that did not appear as a source card
option until later versions of Mercator.

Which database is it supposed to use if the MDQ File contains MULTIPLE
databases?

I know if I RUN () such a map and use a source override:

  RUN ("mapname.mmc", "-IDn '-MDQ msqfile -DBNAME
database_name_defined_in_mdqfile  -QUERY  queryname  -VAR varname=Value '
.....")

... it works just fine, executing the query against the correct database.

But which DBNAME in the MDQ is it supposed to use if you DON'T 'RUN() with
override?'

It "seems" it uses the FIRST DBNAME which appears in Database Designer,
which in my case just happens to be BOTH the 'first DBNAME created in the
file' as well as the the first DBNAME alphabetically.
