Absolutely stay away from trying to write a paper about X12 vs XML
electronic information exchange formats. Both of these formats are in wide
use - and will continue to be so as long as they serve organizations' and
industries' business needs.

 

I recommend you consider some of the other topics already suggested - each
of which has relevance to the business rather than "made-up" and
artificially inflamed "battles" between formats.

IMO the most 'happening' thing is we no longer have to endure at least one 
post per week here telling us ANSI EDI is dead and we should all prepare to 
move to XML-format EDI.

It's either that or the fact that - finally - Paris Hilton no longer has a 
weekly TV show.
