The curricula share a set of four core courses, then break off into separate, in-depth course tracks designed to train and certify anyone planning, selecting, implementing, and managing electronic health records (EHR); other health information technology (HIT); and Health Information Exchange (HIE). If you boss is encouraging you to become certified through this organization, what's your push-back? BTW, I do know about this organization. It's faculty is composed of the healthcare industry's leading experts on the various topics they teach. There is a website, http://www.healthitcertification.com. He seems to think that it would a good thing for me to do. I don't have any objection to taking a few online classes and a test if they are likely to be useful. I can't tell if this is the case. There's probably a better forum for this question -- but ....
