Hello Guys,
I want to let you know about a component for processing EDI files in
Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services SSIS. It is part of the
CozyRoc SSIS+ 1.3 component library. I believe this is the first product
on the SSIS market trying to address the need for processing of EDI
files. The component in question is called EDI Source
<http://www.cozyroc.com/ssis/edi-source> . The EDI configuration file is
an XML file and the schema is based on the Milyn
<http://milyn.codehaus.org/EdiSax> 's EDI Parser configuration file.
The EDI segments are represented as SSIS data flow outputs and the other
EDI elements like fields, components and sub-components are represented
as data flow output columns. By using the CozyRoc EDI Source component,
the SSIS developer gets flattened representation of his EDI data in the
SSIS data flow. The component has been already successfully tested with
X12 820, 834 EDI formats.
We will be happy to hear your comments and answer your questions.
