Stan, I have dealt with 5.4 but never noticed the NT platform and I understand it some. I am more proficient with Inovis products with directory monitors and various protocols transports. I hope 4.3 talks to SQL quite well for in/out mapping otherwise I will need Tylenol on this project. I didn't see the 4.3 PDF on the website I just saw the marketing docs which are crap. I have a call into the rep. Tom

The 5.4 that you have I suspect is Gentran for NT. The mappers are about 95% the same. However; Gentran NT uses "Process Control" for data flows where GIS uses BPML. Process Control and BPML have nothing in common in how they are created and used. The way that data is tracked is totall different. Creating trading partners is totally different. The install disk for GIS 4.3 contains the manuals and the manuals can be downloaded from the Sterling "support on demand" web site. If you have never done GIS then you are in for lottttttttt of work. It is not like the install and run of Gentran NT.
