I've used Elance a few times, and it seems a very poor choice for EDI.  The
process is a little similar to ebay.  You post what you have to see (job),
and folks vie for the opportunity to do the work.  Unlike Ebay you are not
locked into the low-bidder, you can select anyone that you choose.  However,
the similarity is that there is no way to verify or validate previous work;
there is no way to inspect the goods; there is an inherent distance and
language barrier.

Frankly, Iove Elance.  It is great for what it is, and it fulfills a great
service.  However I'd never consider it for EDI.
