Actually, Edifecs XEngine can generate 997's and TA1's plus do splitting
of good and bad transactions as well as conversion to XML. The latest
version will even do conversion between two guideline mappings, not quit
EDI translation yet, but can be done.

I've had experience with Edifecs and have found their tool wonderful
for HIPPA validation - the best IMO.

You'll need a translator though to preform EDI parsing, 997 stuff,
etc. Axway, Sterling, Inovis, etc
