Back in the mid 90's I did some stuff for Tenneco to trade via EDI with Toyota. Does that count? That division of Tenneco closed in 1998. The plant is still empty, right on the lake (Michigan) shore. Prime Real Estate! (I do not believe my association with this division was related to the plant closing.) Regardless, 850/855/810 trading relationships are ubiquitous. And for the most part any company who comes to YOU and asks you to trade by EDI has plenty of expertise and usually pretty good "vendor EDI Support."
