I'm wondering if any of you have started to experience the problem we
have with TLW. I installed 6.5 at the behest of someone at inovis (I
found out later it's mostly for fixing some issues with Vista/Win7). I
later reinstalled 6.4.2 but the problem still exists. Basically when
you click on any of the folders (In, Sent, etc.) that has more than a
handful of documents it can take upwards of an hour to load the folder.
I archived/purged my database down to the last 45 days (size is well
below their stated limit) and the problem still exists. The part that's
so odd is that prior to installing 6.5 I could easily keep upwards of a
year worth of documents in the folders and another 2-3 years in history
and I had no problems (huge folders opened in less than 30 seconds).
I've run through all of the standard troubleshooting (repair, compact,
etc.) with inovis and their response is "your database is to big!" even
though it's now well below what they state as their suggested limit.
That said, there's some truth to it, since if I archive down to a week
or so it'll run fine but I should think that TLW would be expected to
handle more than 100 documents.
The software is running on XP on a dual core e6600 with 4 gigs of ram.
Anyone else run into this? Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jake
