Usually the 855 is a response to the 850.  unless your policy is "always fill 
100% and always ship on time" you would enhance the 850 information with the 
in/out of stock, substitution and date information.  Your back-end system 
supplies all of that.  You feed that file - just like your 810 - to the 
translator.  You -could- create a standard-to-standard
map to map 850 to 855 ... but you also need clone the data feed.  Gentran is 
very simple:  one file in, one file out.

Now, if you only used M*******, you could do all of this, plus generate the 
997, 
walk the dog and get lunch in one map.

I have never created an 855 turnaround map, and now have a partner asking for 
one.  I've created the Map, it looks okay, but when the 850 comes in through 
Gentran, nothing happens. 

 
I have an open ticket with Sterling, but thought I'd ask for suggestions here.  
Does everyone find them easy?
