I will place more emphasis on the advice you've been given which is excellent.

YOU MUST ASK YOUR TRADING PARTNER.

Vankatesh...

DESADV, like the X12 945 can have a multitude of various ways to structure the
final messages and each specific message is based on the customer or trading
partners.

While this group can instruct you on common rules for both X12 and EDIFACT
elements, segments and document structure, you really should take up your more
specific document/message questions with the TP specs or the TP theirself.

Thanks,

Ken

Venkatesh,

Normally, your trading partner will supply you with a set of DESADV
specifications that will outline the specific segments and elements to use.
Each trading partner can be different.

The DESADV contains the nest of groups CPS->PAC->PCI->GIN. The pallet
number normally goes in the GIN. Offhand I cannot remember an
implementation in which we had to send pallet type, but I would expect
it to be in the PCI or its following RFF.
