Dear All,
I worked on SAP+EDI(GIS) architecture but never worked on MAINFRAME+EDI(GIS).
I am expecting an project with this combination soon.
1)Can any one help me understand the differences/challenges that might come
across during development of BPs.
2)Also if it is SAP+GIS.. i understand how the IDOC file is translated to EDI
in Business Process(BPML).
for instance,
EDI encoder will parse the value of EDI PORTNAME, SAP PORTNAME AND ACCEPTOR
LOOKUP ALIAS from Process Data and compares with SAP ROUTE TALBE, which in turn
will select ENVELOPE NAME through SAP X-REFERENCE.
but if i am using an application file(coming from Mainframe) as my input file,
what will be the change in my BP, if i use EDI encoder will it not go SAP ROUTE
TABLE?
this being an application file i will not be having any SAP TERMS so how can i
used SAP ROUTE values/talbes in GIS?
thanks in advance.
regards
Vasanth
