Published Job Title : Sr. EDI Analyst Job Status : Open Country : U.S. State : Illinois City : Naperville Shift Hours : 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Job Description : JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. EDI Analyst is responsible for implementing and maintaining Viant’s Electronic Data Interchange (“EDI”) Management software and electronic data interchange systems between Viant and its partner systems. This position is also responsible for providing technical support for relational EDI database operations, making decisions for information construction, and for selecting resources for EDI processing and application expansion.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develop core technical components of the Company’s EDI infrastructure. 2. Develop technical components and aspects of EDI trading partner relationships including but not limited to planning, transaction mapping, setup and configuration, and testing. 3. Interact as necessary with other IT functional areas to ensure successful implementation of EDI projects. 4. Manage trading partner implementation projects. 5. Manage migration of trading partner relationships from legacy platforms to the Viant corporate EDI solution. 6. Develop EDI processing documentation and procedures. 7. Troubleshoot and otherwise assist in the resolution of production problems and issues. 8. Assist in the upgrading of the Company’s EDI management software as necessary. 9. Qualifications : EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience JOB RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in a technical EDI role. Health care industry experience preferred • Experience working with Unix and Linux operating systems, including Unix Korn Shell and Perl scripting skills • Experience with Oracle and SQL • Experience with Sterling Commerce Gentran:Server for Unix w/EC Workbench v6.2 • Experience with Sterling Gentran Integration Suite • Experience with systems architectures, platforms and telecommunications interfaces is a plus JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: • Project management and organizational skills • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines • Knowledge of ASC X12 document structures and mapping concepts • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and EDI implementation standards preferred • Familiarity with data communications protocols (FTP and Async) is a plus. • Familiarity with Internet technologies is a plus.
