Subject: [EDI-L] Re: What should I do with our vast EDI system?

Ken makes a good point here. I guess (as an employee at the time), I was
"graced" with the knowledge & concept of documenting the job - simply because
of
being the child of a software/system analyst consultant/contractor and having
created much of the documentation for mom's programs....

I used to keep very simplified instructions and "how to" documents for when I'd
go on vacation or ______, since I was "the" EDI department and a system
operator
or my boss would need to fill these shoes when I took time off.

I guess in one way, that could be what led to my being replaced by one of the
system operators working for a lot less per hour than I was getting paid.
