FWIW, "Princeton" is an over-used designation.  The actual Township/Boro are 
relatively small, but if you extend out anywhere up until 20 miles or so in 
most directions, the (un)realtors will call it "Princeton" (and businesses will 
use the name regardless of what ZIP they are really in).  While not "cheap" 
compared to what those of you in the Midwest and South would expect, there are 
affordable residential areas (including in PA) within a reasonable commute.
