>I see that there can be multiple [SAP] Idoc type per EDI transaction....

There is no such thing in *any* system as a pure 'one to one relationship'
between an ANSI X12/EDIFACT document type and an ERP interface type.

Start with the business transaction: If you were hand-typing the 'EDI'
data, which SAP ERP interface would you use for the 'other side' of that
transaction?

Well, instead of hand-typing the info, use some translator/mapper software.

> i need to know which ones people are really using.

Now THAT is a fair question. But it will (SHOULD) come down to, "describe
the application." I notice your request for a [as we now know non-unique]
cross reference...

>>This questions is for those who use SAP with EDI.
>>What Idocs are you using for each of these transactions 940, 943, 944, 945
>>and 947?

.. you never said so much as in which direction the various docs go. Are
you the owner of the inventory? Or are you the third-party warehouse?
