I've seen the two other posts and have a more preliminary set of questions: Who are you and who is the 'We' you mentioned, as in "We are proposing a new change.." Your questions seem more oriented to Channel sales or VARS, not an EDI forum. But if I was one of your distributors, I would have to seriously question why you want my end customer information to begin with. Unless you are looking to approach them yourself, that level of detail is really none of your (company's) business and I have worked for many a CEO who will come right out and tell you that. And no there is not ANY best practices/ compliance enforcements that dictate you have to, need or be forced to share any of my customer data, which is basically what you are asking for. But I would have to ask, if you have to question a particular company's business ethics, should they really be your customer? Let me put this in reverse - how many of your customers have you provided specific information about your existing customers? Or how would your CEO respond if one of your customers came asking for your customer list? Ken [email protected]
