Hi Mukesh,
Caveat - I am not a GISHI expert, so please be aware that this answer is most likely incomplete - a Sterling / IBM rep can give you a clearer picture of what GISHI is and what it isn't. >From my understanding and experience, GISHI (Gentran Integration Suite Hosted ?Implementation?) is a SaaS Sterling offers. As far as I know it hasn't been renamed, yet, to SIHI. Essentially, instead of the individual company running their own instance of SI (nee GIS), a company outsources the hosting to Sterling. The only flavor of this hosting I am aware of is where IBM/Sterling's Managed Services division does all development and support for the hosted solution. So, for instance, if a company decides to move its processing of EDI transactions to GISHI, the company can send to and receive from GISHI flat files, or XML files, or whatever format of files it would like. Obviously,, the biggest gain here would be when the format it sends and receives can easily and seamlessly be imported into and exported from its ERP and/or legacy systems. It is quite possible there or other options with GISHI where the client company does its own development and support. For B2B one of my client is using Gentran on Windows platform. Recently I came to know that they are planning to migrate into GISHI which is on UNIX platform. Its again an Sterling Commerce product but I never heard about it. As right now Client's EDI team is on long vacation and I am eager to know about this tool. Can anyone share any information about this GISHI tool?
