EDI/HIPPA Consultant
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 3-6 months
Rate: All Inclusive
RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTED DELIVERABLES:
• Acts as subject matter expert in the area of HIPAA standardized
transaction sets (including especially 837, 270, 271), interpreting X12
standards and assisting in translating them into requirements and
specifications to guide development.
• Assists in converting 4010 X12 transactions to 5010 X12
transactions (837, 270 & 271) exchanged between Department of Human Services
and various business partners.
• Works with data management staff to identify and resolve 837
claims processing problems.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• EDI X12 (4010/5010)
• HIPAA X12 837 Professional/Institutional mapping experience
Preferred experience:
4010 to 5010 gap analysis and conversion efforts
