A lot of whether you use the SAC vs. TXI is either personal preference or your 
customer specs.  I've seen it done both ways.   A number of the .com (QVC.COM, 
HSN.COM, etc.) use the SAC to provide tax information for a customer order...

Thank you very much for your guidance.  I have a follow-up question for you and 
the forum as a whole.

What is the 
benefit of using SAC instead of TXI to capture the tax data? I am 
already using SAC at the item level for promotions (allowances) and for 
deposits (charges), and at the summary level for discounts (allowances).

I
have reviewed 20-30 different guides that I have been able to find 
published online. I haven't come across any that use SAC for taxes.
