EDI Software EngineerResponsibilities:
As a EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Software Engineer at Micron you are
responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Micron’s EDI
environment. You must be able to conduct and participate in analysis, design,
code review, and testing sessions for this technology. You must demonstrate the
functional and technical skills necessary to switch between various software
and development technologies and merge them to provide the best software
solution. You must have a demonstrated ability to create quality software and
participate in software quality improvement efforts. You will provide solutions
that create business value while at the same time do not negatively impact the
customers through defects, downtime, or performance degradation. You may
participate in the group on-call rotation and other off-hours support
situations as needed. Travel to any of the global Micron remote sites may be
required.
Successful Candidates for this position will have: ·Familiarity with scripting
languages and basic programming skills·Successful candidate will possess a
minimum of 3 years EDI experience with a preferred emphases in the SAP
technology domain·Application and development experience using the following
technologies: Gentran server for windows or Gentran integration suite, ABAP,
SAP PI, Java·Optimizing code, especially around interfaces between EDI and
other systems·Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and
communication skills·Ability to work in a fast paced 24x7 Information
Technology environment·Adherence to process and working knowledge of ITIL
principles·Ability to manage several concurrent projects or
tasks·Self-motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision·Demonstrated
ability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies to support Micron's
changing environment. ·Excellent customer service skills·
Education:
BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related
field or equivalent experience required.
