>I think the ANA numbers I have are what I would call the trading >partner sender/receiver ID but what is the TUN number? > You are correct about the ANA numbers. You will probably find that they are used in the header SDT and CDT segments as well. The TUN is the Tradanet User Number and is a reference number which GXS use to key quickly into their Tradanet database when making helpdesk queries or arranging interworking. They can use the ANA number instead and the TUN has no significance for EDI processing. Tradanet is the network, Tradacoms the EDI standard. >What is ARPF? Is that the document type? It seems to be at the tail end >of the envelope segment I am seeing Application Reference. It has the same function as element 0026 in an EDIFACT UNB. It is more important in Tradacoms because the fact that a single transaction contains multiple message types means you cannot use message type readily to route within the EDI system. You route on APRF instead (e.g. ORDERS will be handled as a genuine order, ORDTES as a test one).
