I believe it was Sears who used to and still may accept EITHER S-O-I ('0004')
or or S-O-T-I ('0001') at any time as long as
your structure code matched the rest of your ASN. Sears uses a translator they
created themselves. IIRC they did not create it with
either a magic wand or anything requiring eye of newt.

Really? It's the difference between "includes packaging details" and "does not
include packaging details." Call me old-fashioned
but I just can't bring myself to call those two "fairly much the same."
