This doesn’t make sense since tRFC is the preferred communication protocol for SAP. You can do a file port connection or HTTP connection but I have never heard of an AS2 connection directly into SAP.

Since the AS2 system would be connecting with Gentran, and not directly to SAP, I believe a comment that was made is a “red herring”, but now I have to refute doubts that have been raised. The comment has been made that “someone has heard that Liaison and SAP don’t necessarily talk well”. I can’t believe they are talking about this AS2 product since: 1) this is the former iSoft product and has been around since the beginning of AS2 , pretty much (originally pushed by Wal-Mart) 2) An AS2 product does not typically “connect” directly to an SAP system Perhaps this statement applies to some other Liaison product (or product that Liaison has acquired) such as the SAP connector for one of their translation products? Or perhaps it is just not a valid statement? If someone has experience with or something relevant to shed light on this, please share! -- Ken [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ ...
