I love the typos; Sterling has been using the same help file since like 2.11 or
3.0, mistakes, misspellings and all.

I printed out the “Alphabetic
Language Reference” guide and keep it handy. The one piece I tape
to my monitor because I use it a lot is:

Integer A;

Real B;

String[8] S;

A = atoi(“5”);     String
à Integer

B = aton(“5.5”);   String
à Real

Ntoa(5.5,S);       Real
à String

help for Gentran 5.2

While in the map utility press F1 to get help, then select the Index button.
The two areas of most interest to you are "Alphabetic Language
Reference" and "Using Extended Rules".
