Educate them on the security and safety of AS2.

AS2 is the future of EDI.   FTP is not.
Is hosting an sFTP server any more secure than AS2?   No.

The MDN is built into AS2, so that is also moot.

More Trading Partners are doing AS2 than FTP.  Do a survey amongst your 
existing partners.
