1. buy more hard disk.
2. archive onto a remove box.
3. run a cron job nightly to clean, especially the logs.
4. use lifecycle to archive (again, hopefully the db is on another box) and
only keep 1 day of raw inbound or outbound data on the production server.
5. hire a gentran certified consultant to clean it up for you :)

Subject: [EDI-L] Disk Space Occupancy Issue

Disk Space occupancy issue occurring constantly around once in a week, As of
now EDI team was manually cleaning up nonessential files in directories which
takes around 1Hr for this task.
The idle Disk Space is 75%  and Gentran data managers will shut down if the
Disk Space reach 95%
When Disk Space exceeds 80% There is auto email notification send to all
the users and EDI Team has to take immediate action Manually to compress files
& delete nonessential files in server

We are planning to develop a script. The script can be scheduled in server such
a way, cleaning up nonessential files in server can be done auto

Please suggest in which logic will work fine
Suggest if any ways to develep this type of script

Gentran 6.1v, Unit 5.3v
