They’re all the rage, these days. One of our newer vendors refuses to acknowledge the existence of “EDI” and typically uses “ETL” as an inappropriate replacement. I would play down your previous employer and some of the older technologies you have used unless you are looking for another Unisys shop which I did a quick search on a job site and got 202 hits so they are still out there. I would work on your networking both in social media and in person at various technical events in your area to help with your new job search. Good luck. I've been in IT for over 30 years, with the last 17 being with one company. Do I have to provide a detailed listing of where I've worked for the entire 30+ years? For the curious, my employer decided to change hardware platforms and their ERP and have not included me in their future plans. They are moving off the Unisys mainframe and the EDI package is to be determined. I've got some time to look for a good fit.
