Mike, yes I have tried to build with that flag.  Using either VS2008 or
GCC44 I can get an OVMF.fd but it also gives me a blank screen.


I've done some single-stepping/debugging with qemu before, what would it
take to get gdb working with qemu to step through the OVMF.fd startup?


Also, when I build using GCC44 and include -D NETOWRK_ENABLE I get the
error:

GenFv: ERROR 3000: Invalid
  the required fv image size 0xea6e0 exceeds the set fv image size 0xe6000

and I haven't figured out how to turn off -g (hoping that would make the
binary smaller).  I realize I need to leave -g on for the above debugging -
but later - if GCC44 is the only way I can build OVMF.fd, I'll have size
problems again...
