You should consider "Fathom", which has a very visual approach to the subject. It is completely unlike any other package I have seen, reminding me more of Dynamic Geometry packages rather than number-based statistics packages such as SPSS, SAS etc. JOHN BIBBY Statement of Interest: I sell Fathom within the UK. Please email me for further details. ----- End of forwarded message from John Bibby, QED/MatheMagic (York, England), maths popularisers ----- I think Fathom is an aid to LEARNING statistics, not a software package for DOING statistics -- at least not professionally. It's closest competitor might be ActivStats. I'm not saying it is bad, and it may be just what the original poster is looking for, but it is certainly not competitive with SAS for, say, use in the pharmaceutical industry. _ | | Robert W.
