UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO Educational Psychology Faculty Position Assistant/Associate Professor Tenure-Track
The College of Education, Department of Individual, Family and Community Education invites applications for an assistant/associate professor, tenure-track position beginning August, 2002. Required Qualifications: 1) earned doctorate by the time of appointment in educational psychology or a related field; 2) demonstrated excellence and experience in teaching applied educational statistics at the college or university level including multiple regression and multivariate methods; 3) expertise in an additional substantive area of Educational Psychology; and 4) evidence of scholarly research. Desired qualifications: 1) interest in and commitment to working with diverse populations, including multicultural, bilingual and multilingual, and life-long learner and special-needs groups; and 2) interest in and commitment to working in applied educational settings. Responsibilities: teach graduate courses in educational psychology, especially in educational statistics and research methods, as well as conducting an active research program. We are searching for a talented teacher of advanced educational statistical methods who also has strong academic and research interests in an additional substantive area in educational psychology. The appointee is expected to provide academic advisement, serve on and direct dissertation committees, and work with other degree programs in the College.
