6 students, 4 tires:

The probability that they all choose the same tire [doesn't matter which] is
(1/4)^5 = 1/1024.

N students, M tires:

(1/M)^(N-1)

(The answer with ^6 or ^N answers a different question: what is the
probability that they all choose the front left-hand tire?)
