Hello, I must note that I'm a novice to statistics, so please forgive me if this sounds a bit naive.
I need to obtain the p-value by applying hypergeometric distribution to the dendrogram at each node. Having a prior knowledge of how object should classify I'd like to exploit how well my method classify them automatically. Basically this should tell me which evolutionary tree is better, using various scoring schemes. Can someone describe how I can do this? or point me to a page with a specific example... Please write to me directly at: dimka at physbio dot mssm dot edu ...if you need me to explain my problem further. Thanks, Dima. . . ================================================================= Instructions for joining and leaving this list, remarks about the problem of INAPPROPRIATE MESSAGES, and archives are available at: . http://jse.stat.ncsu.edu/ . =================================================================
