 - I can't understand Dennis's comment, because
I can't *read* Dennis's comment as an English sentence,
Or a meaningful fragment.

 - The post by Maurus was apparently made directly to
sci.stat.edu in its Mailing-list incarnation (which leaves those
tag-lines at the end); but his post never was relayed
to the s.s.e Newsgroup so far as my ISP is concerned,
and I don't find it when I search with Google.

Responses to Maurus -- I see this one by Dennis, and
one by Jay, and they both feature the Mail-list tag.
It looks as if the mailing list failed to re-post the one message
by Maurus, but I don't get the list, so I can't check for other
oversights.
