I've been considering going to mastery testing of my stats students next year. I know precious little about how to do this and wonder what experiences y'all might be able to share with me about how to do it and pitfalls of such an approach.
By the way, my concept of mastery testing (which may need some revision) is I give short tests which students do in class. They may retake new forms of test over the same material until they are 'satistified with their grade.' Am I even close to thinking reasonably about this?
