[Fwd: Nonparametric test for regression?]

Many books on nonparametric methods include a chapter on regression. 
For example, Nonparametric Statistical Methods by Hollander and Wolfe 
discusses the Theil test for the slope of a regression line and 
estimators of slope and intercept associated with the Theil statistic. 
Applied Nonparametric Statistics by Wayne Daniel discusses the 
Brown-Mood method for estimating slope and intercept and for testing the 
 joint hypothesis alpha=alpha_0 AND beta=beta_0.
