Don't forget to correct the sample distribution frequency to reflect the
distribution found in the population (i.e., all the pallets/crates).  If
your "outliers" appear commonly they are not really outliers and if they are
very rare they can probably be ignored.

If you don't have records about the appearance of each sample, then you have
a problem with how well the sample represents the population (unless crates
with each different appearance are present with the same frequency).
