Did you create this dummy variable yourself?
For a computer program, this 0/1 variable is apt to be
a zero/one variable like any other, so you can have
interactions, etc., in the same ways.

On the other hand, some computer programs will create
something that they call a "dummy variable" and will use
it in specific ways that they define - and presumably their
documentation tells you about it; we could not guess.
