I'm not exactly certain what you mean by Applied/Engineering Statistics,
but perhaps _Probability & Statistics for Engineering and the Sciences_
by Jay L. Devore will suit your needs.  I've found it quite instructive.
I don't know if it is still in print, but Amazon will probably have it
if it is.
