I checked Amazon and bn.com, apparently, the current edition is the 7th

Miller & Miller (2003) John E Freund's Mathematical Statistics with
Applications

as I am also interested in learning more of the math background behind
the stats I use, I am interested in other opinions of this book
(particularly the newer editions # 6 was also by the new authors) or in
other books. In particular, I'd like to know the mathematical
prerequisites for them.

Thanks

Peter

Hi,
I, too, had favorable experiences with an earlier version.
The only author at that time was Freund, as I recall.
