Hello, Citing from http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/contest/univ_challenge_rules.jsp : << This contest is open only to students, graduate students, faculty and university IT staff at accredited universities or academic institutions who, at the time of entry, are of the legal age or majority in their country, province or state of legal residence and residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia, the United Kingdom, India, China, Japan, Korea, Germany, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Mexico, France, Russia, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Indonesia. Void in Puerto Rico, Quebec and where prohibited by law. >>
I am curious why this contest is limited to residents of the above mentioned countries. As the intention of Open Solaris and related contests/activites is to be ... well, open, I find the list restrictive. Especially if you consider that the Sun Academic Initiative program for example is available in other countries as well. Thank you, Vlad Grama. This message posted from opensolaris.org
