I have been working on this problem and have been meaning to respond. We encountered two problems when we set up the Chinese language lists. 1) The database was not originally configured to handle the Chinese character sets properly. This affects the web pages and the mail forums (Jive). We have a fix for this that has been tested and is working on our staging machines. We plan to roll it out on production next week (Wednesday or Thursday) 2) Mailman does not handle Chinese character sets out of the box (at least the versions of mailman & Python we are using). We need to either add some codecs to our version Python or upgrade to Python 2.4. We are in the process of figuring out which will work better. Hopefully this will be resolved next week as well. Once we get it resolved, it should (hopefully) be easy to have one list in "Simplified Chinese" and one in "Traditional Chinese".
