<p>Somya,

Check the job postings at your school to see whether Sun is looking for a
campus ambassador. Also, check to see whether there is a Sun club or other
group at the school. Sun campus ambassadors often give presentations on Sun
technologies such as Solaris, NetBeans, Java, and Sun SPOTs. If you do not see
a Sun club at your school, start one! You do not need any special knowledge:
Everyone who comes to the club meetings can learn together.

Check to see whether there is a user group in your area. For OpenSolaris, check
the <a href="http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/os_user_groups_amb/">User
Groups - Campus Ambassadors</a> project page.
</p><p>
For help with OpenSolaris, find a <a
href="http://www.opensolaris.org/os/discussions/">discussion forum</a> or <a
href="http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo">email list</a> on that
topic and ask your specific question there.

For general information, check the <a
href="http://developers.sun.com/students/">Student Developers</a> area on the
Sun Developer Network (SDN) site. This site provides links to free software,
schedules for events such as Tech Days, information about user groups and the
Student Connection Newsletter, and information about jobs at Sun, including
information about the campus ambassador program.</p>
