I've used the Python plug-in for Eclipse some. It wasn't in final form, but did sport a lot of those Eclipse features. If you're willing to spend money, there's the Wing IDE. I've downloaded the free trial version, but have yet to evaluate it properly. I fully agree that we could use some more featureful IDEs, including free ones -- which reminds me, it's been awhile since I played with DrPython. I think I'll go grab it before the meter runs out on my Hotspot wireless account (I'm in the Vancouver airport international departure lounge).
