It's a strange beast in a way - you write pretty naturally, but as if you were using a very primitive text editor with few "modern" capabilities - and by so doing you are connected, as mentioned above, with the state of the art capabilities of XHTML ,XML, PDF, etc. >If you are on OS X there is even a reST- > specific editor[2] which transforms to XHTML as you go, for WYSIWYG- > ish goodness.
