Good thing. I use Python as a way of introducing concepts without a lot of Java-style overhead. Presumably once they get the ideas (including OOP) we can tackle the monstrous edifices of the official languages. -- Peter
I've heard of agile vs. system languages i.e. Python, Ruby vs. Java, C#. But whence this word "official"? That's a type I'm not familiar with. Python is the official language of Python Nation, no? -- just as Perl is, of the Republic of Perl. Kirby
