Public bug reported: An upstart init script needs to be written to replace /etc/init.d/schooltool
A new script /usr/sbin/schooltool should be created that supports multiple instances, configured in file /etc/default/schooltool, so that the following commands are interchangeable: $ sudo start schooltool $ sudo schooltool start The ``schooltool`` command should take an optional instance argument, to act only on one server: $ sudo schooltool restart standard It may or may not use the upstream scripts, make-schooltool-instance and start-schooltool-instance, but they need new options (LP: #906373) ** Affects: schooltool (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Gediminas Paulauskas (menesis) Status: Triaged ** Changed in: schooltool (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Gediminas Paulauskas (menesis) ** Changed in: schooltool (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: schooltool (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: schooltool (Ubuntu) Milestone: None => precise-alpha-2 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Edubuntu Bugsquad, which is subscribed to schooltool in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/906376 Title: Convert init.d script to upstart To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/schooltool/+bug/906376/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~edubuntu-bugs Post to : edubuntu-bugs@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~edubuntu-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
