I have reproduced it on all my servers.  Someone mentioned that Tuxmath
also does the same thing on the Users list.  It's driving me "nucking
futs".  Let me be a guinea pig....shoot me ideas.  Turning off sound did
appear to solve it, but obviously that ain't an option.   When run from
the command line there was an error about being unable to find
/dev/sequencer
