This is a message sent via the Edubuntu web contact form. There's still time to discuss and implement for Natty if anyone wants to take it up. Otherwise we could also take it up at the next UDS.

Love Edubuntu! We support it at a local K-6 school as part of the graduate program in edtech I run. It seems more humanely usable every day. I would dearly love to see the Applications/Education menu start to also be for reading by humans, perhaps by grade level? and maybe use clearer words then "Kig" "Brunch" "blinkin" "gcompris" or parenthetical explanations would be a start, such as (Basic Math skills G, 1-4) Whenever I show a new teacher Edubuntu and the Education menu, their universal response is "This seems wonderful!" and then "Those words don't make much sense, how do I know what to use, for which kids, and where to start? Is there a quickstart for new teachers?" -- edubuntu-devel mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/edubuntu-devel
