The linux kernel appears to be suggesting you boot with the "irqpoll" option. When you pop the cdrom in and boot, you'll initially get a splash screen like this: http://shots.osdir.com/slideshows/slideshow.php?release=754&slide=1 I think you press <F6> to pass options to the kernel. You should try passing it "irqpoll".
